In Sex and the City 1, Carrie Bradshaw plans a whirlwind

In Sex and the City 1, Carrie Bradshaw plans a whirlwind wedding with a huge Vivienne Westwood dress at the center of it all. However, in an infamous plot twist, Carrie is left standing at the altar in a Cinderella dress with a bird on her head.

Carrie's real wedding dress is the classically chic number that we see at the end of the film in the courthouse. After all is forgiven, Mr. Big and Carrie march down to city hall and partake in a simple ceremony, in which she is wearing a supposedly nameless dress.

It is this dress, or wedding suit, that has been a hot topic of many conversations since Carrie's big wedding. This Christian Dior wedding suit is sophisticated, simple and perfect in every way.

Let's take a look at incarnations of this perfect wedding dress and so much more!

Charlotte and Anthony famously made fun of this beautiful suit in SATC 1 during the hustle and bustle of Carrie's circus wedding. They joked that the dress was made by nobody after Carrie tells them she got it at a vintage store. She comes back at them telling them not to worry that, "I'm going to merchandise it up. Style it up with some shoes."

Of course, this is silly to the audience knowing what we know now. This gorgeous piece of art is actually from the masterminds of Christian Dior.

Everyone, but Carrie, is put to shame when we see her with her Cinderella like Manolo's and bright yellow clutch in the end, looking happier than ever. Carrie really does get her happily ever after wearing this gorgeous alternative to a traditional wedding dress.
